From solar arrays on landfills to hybrid buses and single stream recycling, Ken has demonstrated his commitment to Howard County’s environment. Under Ulman’s leadership Howard County was awarded national Sierra Club recognition as a Cool County – the first in Maryland. This accolade recognizes leadership in reducing energy use, curbing greenhouse gases, and conserving natural resources.
