Wegmans Brings More than 650 Jobs to Howard County

Wegmans opened its doors in Howard County on Father’s Day to a crowd of 2,000 people who were eager to receive the full “Wegmans experience.”  Although this grocery store has been in anticipation in our community for some time, I am even more excited to see that more than 600 people have been hired, including a number of men and women affiliated with the ARC of Howard County.  Manager Wendy Webster and her team have demonstrated their commitment to Howard County by hiring locally and supporting local groups including the Howard County Food Bank, and I am excited to see this public-private partnership grow and strengthen in the future.
